I’m a British freelance journalist, writer and editor who relocated to Amsterdam in 2020 after nearly five years in the Middle East (Abu Dhabi then Beirut). People are my passion and I love hearing their stories and discovering what makes them tick – as well as finding out how their worlds are impacted by wider political and social forces.

Nowadays I mostly write features but I also have experience as a desk editor and in writing news stories; producing, editing and presenting videos and podcasts; and copy writing and editing for corporate clients. I speak fluent English and a small amount of Levantine Arabic and Dutch and have reported from Lebanon, the UAE, the UK, the US, the Philippines and a US aircraft carrier as it transited the Strait of Hormuz.
